What Anime and Animation are you currently watching?

Just finished "Better Call Saul" season 2, just as good as season 1, keep up the good work!
"The Walking Dead" season 6 was excellent, the last episode is a real shocker!!!
Talk about cat & mouse, it's almost too painful to watch at the end.
Which finishes with a real cliff hanger.
Now I've got "Game Of Thrones" season 6 to look forward to, lucky me!

In my experience Anime are often VERY good at ending series with questions still standing within the story. Sometimes this is because its following a manga that goes on a lot further; or its because they have a different approach to story telling. Western shows tend to ensure that nearly all story lines are resolved at the end of a series even if they've got a guarantee that they will have a following series (they'll leave one or two story lines going possibly but they will likely have only appeared in the last episode or two).

It's something I like about anime in that the creators are prepared to leave things in the air a bit and have a few unresolved questions. It's great from a fan point of view as it generates discussion and interest whilst from their point of view it also leaves them ideal material to build off for a following series.

It's interesting to note that some of the biggest cult classics like Blade Runner are also films/shows which left many, sometimes big, questions still hanging for the audience.

Of course some series can get it wrong such as Neongenesis Evangelion which ended exceptionally badly in its series with the worst cop out in writing of "it was all a dream"; which after a series which raised huge questions in its own story was a neat way to write off any chance of giving any answers. To me that took it too far and left so much in the air that it spoilt things.

I've also been watching The Flash. I've been really enjoying it, because it doesn't shy away from the goofy comic book stuff like time travel, alternate universes, etc.

I also watch THE FLASH, & had been watching LEGENDS OF TOMORROW, and though I think both have descended into kiddy comic book silliness, I continue to watch THE FLASH. LEGENDS OF TOMORROW had an episode that was about U.S. slavery,
AND zombies! not just zombies, but the TWD type whose heads remain 'alive' after separation from their bodies! Now, how could the assassin girl know that real zombies, meaning those in this series, had the same characteristics as those in TWD? As that one Pythoner was frequently saying, things are too silly!
and I thought that, given the current events, it was a really bad idea to revive the bitterness of that time and place. In fact, it was a particularly brutal depiction of the Southern plantation's treatment of black people. That, being bad enough, the whole mission of LEGENDS OF TOMORROW was to prevent or if necessary, repair alterations to the timeline, but in this case, not so much.

Currently, I am watching RANMA, ONE PIECE, ULTRAMAN 80, IZETTA, & have bought the 1st 3 boxed sets of Maisen Ikkoku.

Have started watching the first few seasons of "South Park" on Kodi.

Similar to "The Simpsons" in that it had such wonderful originality to begin with, but as the years/seasons progressed, it steadily got stuck in a rut, with fresh ideas clearly lacking.

Since I can't watch much anime online, I'm slowly getting caught up with recent dvd releases. I've recently watched Kids on the Slope, and I absolutely loved it. I really enjoyed the slow pace of the story and, while I'm not a fan of jazz, I thought the music sequences were excellent.

I am about to finish watching Lupin III, series #2, which I just recently learned was the 2nd, rather than the only series. I will continue with series 3 & 4.

also just finished HUMANS, season 2. May re-watch it, because some things were forgotten, leaving me wondering about this & that.

Atom, the Beginning, attempts to tell the early years of Ochanomizu, Tenma, Higeoyaji, and the prototypes for Atom. It incorporates story elements from the Mighty Atom corpus, & emphasizes humor over story.

One Piece & Dragon Ball Super are still in production; frustrating because I had been watching 15 to 25 episodes a week, & now, I must wait.

FTWD just ended its 1st half season, I think I like this even more than TWD! I always follow it with Talking Dead, though not so with TWD, as I binge watch these when my brother visits.

TALKING WITH CHRIS HARDWICK is new, using the same set as Talking Dead. I really know little if anything about those whom he interviews, so, I find this more informative, than most might.

I'm just watching guilty crown right now and I re-watched a bit of attack on titan. After I finish guilty crown I think I'll finish bleach maybe continue naruto (fillers annoyed me to death),and give blue exorcist another shot or watch a new anime on my plan to watch list.

I had become tired of Naruto Shippuden months ago because it had been about a war that ran for many episodes, and had no humor at all. Finally finished that part (around ep 400), and recently had been binge watching it. But, now IE has lost its audio for bot HULU & CR! Had to use Vivaldi.

Oh, just finished Lupin III, series 4! Watched all 4 in order, & after #3, was expecting much from series #4. Turned out that it, unlike 1-3 was all but devoid of humor. No fan-service either. Interesting plot, actually a serial rather than a series. Beautiful graphics HD quality on CR, anyway. Actually there was humor, but only in the far-fetched stunts, etc. Just had to laugh.

I've been catching up on watching anime over the past few months, as I found it easy to watch an episode here and there when life was at its busiest. I've watched Karneval, Lord Marksman and Vanadis, and I've rewatched Spice and Wolf. I've also rewatched Ghost in the Shell:SAC1+2, although that was mostly prompted by talk of the Hollywood version.

Just finished Naruto Shippuden. Also, a second viewing of INVADERS of the ROKUJYOMA! This is one of those "hapless high school boy is overwhelmed by 1/2 a dozen nutty girls" shows. I love it, but it is a mere 12 episodes. This poor guy feels lucky to get apartment #106 for such a low price, until he find a ghost girl haunting it. She is just the 1st of 5 or 6 girls.

It has been a while, but another in the same genre is MONSTER MUSUME EVERYDAY LIFE WITH MONSTER GIRLS. Including a harpie and a bunch of others.

Both of those were on CR. On NF, is Rosario + Vampire. A completely different HS boy ends up in Monster HS, with Vampire girl & others!
My Bride is a Mermaid, As its name suggests this guy, again, a HS student, ends up engaged to a mermaid while his family is on vacation at the seaside. Escaping immediate marriage, his family returns home, but, she & others follow. So, the sea people have both sea forms and human. Oh, the Mermaid's papa is a sea mafia type, & the hall-monitor is Mawari Zenigata, trying to live up to the high standards of her ancestor! :ROFLMAO:

Though my own HS days were awful, I love these!
