Vonnegut's anti-war book is being adapted into a graphic novel by Boom-Studios. I love the book so this is a must purchase for me.

As long as they don't try to insert anything that wasn't in the book it should be okay.

I'm not crazy about the art, but it looks like they're doing some interesting medium-specific things with the storytelling. So, possibly intriguing.

As a general principle, I look askance at turning literature into something that looks like it should run on the funny pages.

Vonnegut wrote it as if it should be on the funny pages, Alex, or at least on the funny shelves of the library, along with the rest of his books.
And he was right that it probably had more impact that way.

Having said that, I'm not sure how it will translate to a graphic novel. (I was reasonably happy with the film though. So maybe.)

I read this book many years ago like to see the comic adaption.

A comic adaptation could be an interesting new way of getting classic science fiction stories to a new generation of fans.

Nice! Boom made some Spider (old pulps hero) comics, which were great. And I used to draw Tralfamadorians all the time. I wonder if they'll make Kilgore Trout look anything like Theodore Sturgeon?

Read another (shorter) story using the "unstuck in time" idea. Don't know if it was first. That's what I remember most about the book, the jumping in time trope.
