Apparently, the woolly mammoth could live to 60 years, while Neanderthals were unlikely to live to 40 years - which is very interesting:

It’s interesting for each of us to consider how long we’d have lived without modern medicine.

I had a serious infection at the age of 28 that would have probably finished me off without antibiotics.
