British Nuclear Sub has Accident, Crew end up in suspended animation,woken to save a pacifist earth

British submarine has a freak accident ,conditions place the crew in suspended animation. Woken once as a some sort of freak sideshow ,mindless automatons . Placed back in suspended animation again , fully awoken when a now pacifist earth is attacked by aliens. Man has been conditioned so they can no longer commit any form of aggression . Crew do there best but they need more people so they start trying to find a way to break the conditioning , turns out if you push the future humans and then apply physical violence the condtioning can be broken.
