Sci Fi Series trying to track down

Hi Everyone
Read a series about a guy who was on his yacht and was boarded by cat like aliens. he reacted and swiped his arm and broke one of their arms with no trouble. Wound up fighting for them and also other humans too.

Does anyone know who the author is or what the series is.

Just read Chanur Saga again, and it's not that one????

Would love to read this series again.
