How do I ask for help finding a book title.
I am looking for a book I read many years ago. It is What if Science Fiction.
It is about people surviving in a world in rain that does not stop. The normal world no longer exists and survival is the name of the game.

You're more likely to get responses if you're on your own thread, so I've moved you.

Hmm. Rain, but no mentioned sea level rise, so not Baxter's Flood, and effecting the whole world, so not Kim Stanley Robinson's 40 signs of rain; can you give us a clue about how many years this was ago?

I could do you the opposite direction with drought and desiccation with Charles Eric Maine's "The tide went out"?

The only one I can think of is Rings Of Ice by Piers Anthony, except that when I looked it up, it wasn't quite the plot I remembered, so either I'm mis-remembering or there's another book out there with a similar plot

My memory tell me that it was read at least 40 years ago.
I always thought it was by John Christopher but I have investigated that author to no avail.
Thanks for helping me get into this site by moving me.

There was a Ray Bradbury Story called 'The Day it Rained Forever' - but that's set on Venus - I think.

I think that one was in a western ghost town. "All Summer in a Day" was on Venus. Of course neither is a novel.

The Ray Bradbury Theatre did a TV episode in the early 1980's based on one of those stories, probably All Summer in a Day since it involved children in a school playground. It doesn't fit what you are looking for but it is worth watching.

Your book sounds like a novelization of Waterworld (1995).

I think, as already suggested by monkeypooper , that it's the Long Rain by Ray Bradbury

Yup. I'll bet it is "The Long Rain" by Ray Bradbury. They did a TV show of it a while back. Not bad!

Yeah, The Long Rain.
All Summer in A Day doesnt quite fit. I second the recommendation of the tv episode. Probably on Youtube.
