Years ago I read an alternative version of Gulliver's Travels, but I can't remember the title or the author, although I know the author was female.

It was essentially the same story (a pilot gets lost in a storm and ends up in a strange land) but there were a few differentiations.

He wasn't a "giant", he was normal size compared to everyone else. And the world he ends up in is a matriarchal society. In other words, it's run for and by women, and men are seen as the inferior sex. He is therefore confronted by many issues that normally he wouldn't have to deal with.

Thus it's a kind of feminist version of the story.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, that would be fantastic!

Cheers!
