The Naked Gun with Liam Neeson (2025)

It's good that they're using someone usually seen playing serious roles, and of course that's how his must play Drebin.

Could be good, could be awful.

Tbh although the movies were good - great in parts - the 25 minute episodes are much better, and consistently funnier. It's hard work keeping audiendes engaged with a constant flow of visual gags for 90-120 minutes, but the shorter time slots accomodated them perfectly.

I'd love to have Netflix commission a run of 6 x 30 minute episodes, and see how that went down. Naked Gun doesn't really need the big screen, big budget treatment.

Why redo something, why not make it their own thing? We know he can do comedy from Life's Too Short.
Because nothing terrifies movie studio executives more than the prospect of taking a risk on something new and having it fail. So what they do is play it safe by offering the audiences more of the same old thing , even if the results are poor reception by the critics. As long as it makes profit for them , that's all they really care about.

The original trilogy was pretty successful and profitable.
And pretty cheap to make.
I think that looks very tempting to studio execs.
And I'm kind of looking forward to seeing Pamela Anderson.

I think he's a most interesting choice for this role .:D

Also Seth Macfarlane is one the of the writers . :)

OK, I'll be the first to say it....

Surely they cant be serious!
" I am serious and don't call me Shirley." ;)

One the funniest lines and greatest plays on words in movie history thanks to Leslie Neilson's wonderful deadpan delivery.
