Discussion Thread -- September 2018 75-word Writing Challenge

I'm shocked, that one so fair would stoop to the levels of CAKE.

What's wrong with good old CASH?

Maintaining my plain English. I can't imagine taking the time that Victoria is taking on these reviews! I am in utter awe!

@M. Robert Gibson .... Shot and Stabbed ,,,, This clever story requires careful reading, but careful reading rewards you with a classic spy story.

No longer considering myself a writer (I learnt my lesson, and my limitations), I don't tend to enter the challenges any more. This one came to me unbidden, though. (All names have been changed, of course. ;))

007: Live and Let Drive, @Starbeast – This rich, rollicking spy tale, ‘pun-ctutated’ with references to a certain famous franchise shows what can happen when you’re driven to drink.

Come Up And See Me, @Jo Zebedee – There’s more than one shooting star in this stellar tale. In space, no one can hear you say ‘oh behave!’

On His Majesty’s Secret Service, @Luiglin – A suave suitor is ‘hard’ to resist in this saucy tale that turns a familiar scenario on its head.

Mission Accomplished, @Calliopenjo – Unseen (literally) forces are at work in this tense assassination tale.

First Impressions, @Cathbad – Meeting the parents is always a nerve-wracking experience but in the secretive world of spies you can never be sure who your friends are.

Nice Try, @Ashleyne – It’s a case of “close but no cigar” in this story of counter-espionage. At least there’ll be ice cream.

The End, @TheEndIsNigh – An intimate description of an unknown protagonist’s last moments. Well, it is better to go out with a bang…

I've received a hint at how to decode Victoria's reviews, but it's not easy for me. I don't have the patience to work it out. When I write a story and if Victoria is willing to review it. I will work hard for mine.

(Contemplates if @nixie and @Shyrka are mutant. Addictive? I mean like Wow! Different strokes for different folks.)

It's the thrill of the chase! When you try one letter and something suddenly clicks (it helps that most reviews begin with 'this'!)

Well I thought this was going to be a simple Caesar Shift cipher with the username as a key.

Nope.

However, I have found a tool to decipher it

Thanks Rumkin.com

Oh, and thank you @Victoria Silverwolf for bringing out the Bletchley Park in all of us!
