Ok. I just finished this book. Love it. It was just what I was looking for. I hve actually never read a series before that wasn't almost done. So this is new, not being able to get the next one right away and keep going. I have mistborn though, is it as good?

Ok. My questions.

Kaladin is like Seth, correct? Does that mean Seth is a radiant as well? I think so. I personally found him reprehensible. He moans and groans about havin to kill people but doesn't have to. He does it himself. Kaladin makes the hard choices and think for himself. I see Seth comin for dalinar but Kaladin fights him and Seth is surprised that there is another truthless, and joins their cause.

Why is king tarmagian killing good people? Your theories? I don't have one yet.

What are the weird headed creatures and what is shadesmar?

Will elhokar step up and become a great king, or get killed and dalinar takes the throne?

Are the parshendi really voidbringers? Seems unsure. Kaladin described them as fighting with honor. It does not seem like they are trying to send humanity into damnation.

Are there any things that you noticed that think will play heavily in the next books? Any questions you are wondering? I liked the ending by the way. Especially between dalinar and Kaladin. I think he will make a good bodyguard. It tied up the first book nicely but also left plenty of loose ends for number two.

I hope we get answers in the next book but here are my wild guesses

(note I listened to the book not read ti so I have no idea how to spell names so they are spelt as phoneticley as I can)

"What are the weird headed creatures and what is shadesmar?"
I think the weird headed creatures are like the spren is some way are re related to how you sole cast note the 2 pepol who can see then are natural sole casters. I think shadesmar is somthing like the place of soles where you get the presence of the "soles" of all the objects around you and you "bribe" them with stormligth to change note the converstaion when the vase gets cast into blood

"Are the parshendi really voidbringers? Seems unsure. Kaladin described them as fighting with honor. It does not seem like they are trying to send humanity into damnation. "

I do not trust what the history says espicley about the void bringers or the raidents or even the devines? but it could be the parshendi are sort of like half active void brigers note the parsh-men are like the parshendi but with out armour so mabye they have sevral forms the last of witch is more demonic?

"Why is king tarmagian killing good people? Your theories? I don't have one yet."
could it be he knows a war is comming and is trying to put pepole on the throne who will get there kingdoms ready for war? or maybe he is tryign to remove pepole who are fighting pointless wars he certinley knows more that the rest so I suspect he ahs his eye on the greater game

Ok. Thanks.

As for tarmagian. I don't know what he knows, but it would seem Dalinar and he woul be on the same side. The books didn't describe enough about the other people on his hit list, but Dalinar?

my first thought was maybe he dose not know what Dalinar is doing maybe he thinks he is still trying to keep the war on the shattered planes going not end it. but this deames unlikley as tarmagian seames to know a lot

or

maybe he knows somthing about the parshendi war than Daliner dose not maybe it is a mistake to keep atacking them maybe they are actuley usong the war to get stronger and it would be better over all for the atackers to disintergrate into cival war then to continue the fight.

overall my theroy is he thinks that daliner is making a mistake and needs to be removed before he dose to much damage

I will go with your second opinion. That Dalinar may continue and crush the Parshendi if he unites the Princedoms, but there is more to the Parshendi than we know. Which has been hinted at by having their shardbearer made out to not be a villain, and not killing Dalinar, but saying he had been looking for him.

I think that given time, Dalinar could find the truth, and depending on that truth, work with the Parshendi, but maybe Tarmigian does not want to take that chance, and instead wants Alethkar to continue relatively ununited. It is probably easier for him to work out his plans that way.

But we don't know if Tarmigian is good or not, maybe he only thinks he is good.
