Thought the pool party section had finished, so was surprised to see this continue at the start, rather than at the end of the last episode, especially with the dramatic finale for Barb.

Hopper looks like he's going to be a great character to follow, with his persuasion to get into the energy facility, and his reveal that they were lying by showing different film footage because there was no storm shown on it.

The scene with Eleven, the cat in the lab, then the thing with the guards was just riveting. Really strong and emotional.

Winona Ryder's character, Joyce, really steals this episode, though, for her obsession with getting Christmas lights to try and talk to Will. It was both beautiful and heart-rending seeing the house filled with them. The scene with the little girl following them was such an 80's moment, but it was a wonderfully emotional scene when Joyce was finally able to communicate with Will. Does this mean he is still alive, or is it just his spirit talking to her? Being chased out by the creature at the end suggests the creature and Will are closely connected - perhaps they are both using the electricity grid to move, but if Will uses it then it alerts the creature?

The scene at the end where the body was recovered from the quarry was, again, strong and full of emotion, but the episode ended with confusion as to whose body had actually been found - was it Will or Barb?
