Bing Outage Causing Search Problems

Microsoft's Bing outage is causing search problems for other search engines including DuckDuckGo.

Commonly the error message "There was a problem displaying your search results" display is response to a web search.

If I understand what you're saying, Astro, DuckDuckGo does use Bing for it's searches but uses it anonymously. No user information is passed to Bing and so privacy is assured.

Dogpile was also affected

There are a couple of others I often turn to
Startpage claims to be private, but uses Google for its results
Mojeek is a UK based relative newcomer that also values privacy and uses its own crawler
Brave is another privacy based one, but also has its detractors

There's also Qwant but is has recently been optimised for phones rather than desktops and I found it much less usable. Also it demands scripts be enabled which was red light for me.
