Any MtG players here?

I got back into the game a little over a year ago after a long hiatus and have been digging into the lore trying to catch up.

The new set is bringing back a lot of nostalgia from the early days and getting me excited.

Was introduced to the game at Gen Con when it was first released. Still play with friends a few times a year. Never payed any attention to the lore however.

Back in the 90's I bought a single starter deck and showed it to my friend. He had a much bigger allowance than I and he went out and bought 10 starter decks, got lots of great cards, and proceeded to dominate me in every game thereafter. So I gave up.
