If I had a pocket computer I would like it to connect wirelessly with other devices rather than have spaghetti coming out of my pocket into sockets.

I doubt it, but it's being advertised, described as "pocket," and I can't see me walking very far dragging along behind me a connected printer, tape cassette, TV and two other computers (as suggested) and that doesn't even include the "etc."

That email address at the bottom leads me to think this is another spoof advert. In any case, why is Stevie Wonder advertising game consoles he cannot use? He might as well say, if I was going to run a marathon it would be the London Marathon, or if I was going to the Moon, it would be on the Space Shuttle.

The simplest way to not get taken in by spoof adverts (and there are many in this thread already) is not to copy them from social media, but to find the original newspaper or magazine they appeared in and copy that. There are many digitised copies of those online. And I believe it is fair use to just copy an advert or a small part of one page.

Google Lens? Never heard of it. Is this another term for the Google search engine every device seems to come with or something different?

It's an image search. When I right click on the picture I get options and Google Lens gives me this:

I've had a look into Google Lens now, it doesn't even show as an option on my phone, however it's there on my laptop.

The amount of times I've zoomed in on photo's looking for a clue to someone's identity, or obsessively returned to the picture over and over while searching my memory ... but other Chronners can just click on GL.

I've now lost interest in the Who's Face and Who's Body threads - also the Object, Location and Event thread.

Yes, it is. I thought it was understood that such things can't be used in the quiz threads, but I am sure some people are (just like people in pub quizzes have their phones under the table or in TV quizzes they cough in the audience) and it is one reason why I also lost interest too. They were meant as a bit of fun.

To get back on subject, 'Old Tech' would be writing the quiz answers on the back of your hand, or the exam answers inside your pencil case (often in code). I never did this myself and I know that exam invigilators were watching out for it (they knew all the tricks) but I also know that it still happened.

There's no prizes, not even a free pint - the only person you're really cheating is you. You have to be quite sad to use Google and then present the answer as your own. We've had people that we suspected were doing this, due to their apparent depth of obscure knowledge, but have never actually done anything due to lack of proof. Even they, though, seem to have got bored and faded away - it's got to be boring winning all the time...
