All,
I'm try to figure out the name of a book I read when I was in middle school. The book, I think, was something like, "The eye and the ??" The plot line was about a prince who's family was killed and maimed and he escaped. He trained with someone and I remember part of the plot line was that he was forced to run around a lake as part of the training. I think a beast of some sort was an aid and he later reunited with his brother (maimed by cutting the tendons in his ankles and made him unfit to rule and crippled and then later he reclaimed his throne. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. This one has stumped me for over 20 years and I'd really like to re-read it/add it to my personal library.
