Out of all of the science fiction films that involves some sort of alien, it is ET that comes out on top, for die hard sci-fi fans this may appear to be a rather strange choice.
However, according to the organisers of the survey, the phone recycling firm phonepiggybank.com, ET is a film for all of the family to enjoy and they do on a regular basis.
The top ten list will surprise some fans but as there are some inclusions into the list, which actually include the original Star Trek TV series from 1966!
The full list is below, why don’t you make up your own mind as to which sci-fi alien film is the best ever:

3. Independence Day (1996)
