Please help me find this book - post apocalypse, women-only tribes, flying with wings

I am trying to locate a sci-fi/fantasy book that I read around 1986.
The major themes that I recall are:
post apocolypse and main character being last man alive
women only tribes/them possibly fighting over wanting to breed with him
flying with wings something like Icarus and Daedalus
regressive living after technology/computers
trying to protect valley from intruders by flying with the wings

sorry not much to go on, but hopefully someone will recognize this....

In the sixth and last issue of the comic (before it was cancelled) one of the characters is captured by a mountain tribe who can fly using artificial wings, and jealously guard their home from intruders (the tribe is not women-only, but main characters are women, so you might get that impression).[/FONT]

thank you, that does sound kind of close...I may be a little fuzzy on some of the details...but am sure this wasn't a comic book.

In view of the vague info, what about 'Five to Twelve' by Edmund Cooper, a future story of a female dominated society and men, kept for reproduction in mainstream society, escaping to the highlands of Scotland?
