I haven't, but after reading what it's about, I'm interested to read it. The Starlost was one of those shows I liked as a child.

Yes. It's very much based on his experience working with Harlan Ellison on The Starlost. Technically science fiction -- it's got 3-D television as the futuristic gimmick -- but mostly a satire on the TV industry.
