Not my most favourite episode. I agree with the person that believes this episode demonstrates another way of life, but doesn't all planets and other so called 'races' do that anyways?
I found that this episode was particularly sad. Not that in the fact that the memories were wiped out, but that the parents of the children who through the Averium ceremony/procedure approved of the idea. Doesn't that sound troubling? There must have been a time in their history where a committee approved of this idea unanimously.
Scary notion.
