The edge of the world. Yes, really.
Since I’ve just revived the old “fantasy vs science fiction” poll

I thought it might also be interesting to have one for our media preferences.

Which do you prefer?
If you voted “other” please give details in a comment.

Other, because books, tv series or movies are used without preference. On the other hand I've only read a handful of comics and fewer graphic novels, probably because the more words there are in a text based format, the better I like it.

TV moreso than film can, when done well, immerse me in a way I don't get as much from many books. A good example would be Ripley that I'm watching right now. Spellbinding cinematography.

I voted for books. There's an intimacy that can never be replicated by TV or movies.

I've never understood the ranking model of classifying everything. I value and like works in all the named formats. They are not created in competition against other forms. I guess if they can make surfing into an organized and judged competitive sport you can potentially 'pit' anything against anything else in a binary either/or scenario. I guess it's meant to say something about you as to which medium you value most?

Films are the most accessible because I could consume the entire story in one sitting, whereas with TV series, you either binge or split it into multiple viewings hoping your memory could play catch-up well.

Reading? Forget about it. I'm not a reader. Maybe if it's comic books, but I haven't read comics in a long time, and even then, I've mostly only read Spider-Man comics.

I don't mind visual novels though, but that's an entirely different medium dissimilar to books; it has music, voice acting and CG art.
