I'm a big William Gibson fan, especially of his "Neuromancer" book. I'm also a fan of AI-generated media, created via tools that I can play around with. So I thought I would use a tool called Mage, where I can experiment with twenty different Artificial Intelligence models, intended for just such a purpose.

Below you will find three images from three distinct AI models, including Stable Diffusion 2.1, Openjourney and Realistic Vision. Admittedly it did take several dozen attempts/runs with a dozen different AIs to produce these imaginary covers. But what's interesting to me is that all of the AI models used for this little project produced visually similar images. Almost like there is a universal Cyberpunk aesthetic?

Why did the AI's generate misspelling of Neuromancer in each case?
But then, I don't really understand what's been done here. Did the AI programs 'read' the book and then propose the covers?
