I was (thanks to the oldest fosterling) into Power Rangers SPD.
There was a kid in an episode of that whose toy was controlling him - was that meant to be the same character (as a child) as the one who has just died?

The one who's just died was from the first Power Rangers in the 90s. The green ranger.
