Doctor Who (39) 13:09: The Power of the Doctor

@BT Jones
Actually a shower exit scene would give us all a good laugh.

We could then write off the whole nonsense of the Doctors that we've had to endure since Tennant left and we'd be back to less than twelve
re-generations: giving us a much sounder plot/continuance than stupid reason they rubbished the franchise with before.

It's not as though we can't use a bit of time lapse/slip in a story about a Time Lord.

I think you should get ready with your legal team for when the CCB takes up your idea. - You and the South-fork-park team.

I can see it now. The Tishdish double doors open and there's Tennant scrubbing his back in the, now converted to a shower cubicle, refit.
He looks round in shock and says:-

"Hey Donna, don't just stand there, pass me the bloody towel. We have a Vogan ship to catch."

This would have two benefits for the role.

1) It would show Mite Smythe he's not the only one that can put it about.

2) It would boost the viewing figures to record highs as all the female viewers that lusted after him before, but stopped watching after he left, would return in their droves.

Well, as much as we agree that the 13th Doctor has done little for the legacy of Doctor Who (other than underline several times its liberal & diverse essence), I have to disagree with you about your broader, post-Tennant remark. I thoroughly enjoyed Matt Smith, and Peter Capaldi is my hands-down favourite. At the end of the day, Doctor Who was always an entertainment franchise that has already lasted far longer than the vast majority of anything else on television. I think the whole '2nd set of regenerations' was inevitable, and whilst how it came about could have been written better, I wasn't too much up in arms.

Anyway, we can probably both agree that we are looking forward to just what RTD can conjure moving forward.

Why is it all these specials all feel like they’re written by those kids that voice over the Haribo adverts...

'and we'll have the Daleks and the Cybermen and the Master and we'll make it really bad for the Doctor and everybody'll be running aound and shouting and, and...'

'And we'll have the scriptwriters..wait...we are the scriptwriters....'

Here is what RTD has to do, write good stories .

Running and shouting and general mayhem. The best thing about this episode was it is the last of Chibnall era. Too bad Whitaker will be forever considered the worst Doctor but it's not her fault.

As much as I enjoyed seeing characters from the Doctor's past lives as well as the Doctors themselves it just proves that Chibnall never really had a clear idea of what he was doing.

I just hope we can have a Doctor that isn't a caricature of an inflatable wavy man again.

Jodi Whitaker is a hole of a good actress , She was quite good in the role of The Doctor.

RTD wont't be able to undo The Timeless Child . So, what he has to do is fix what damage he can.

Finally got round to watching this. Manic nonsense but fun.
Feel sorry for Jodie, she could have been a great doctor with better stories, I liked Yaz, I know I'm in the minority but once Ryan and Graham left she grew into the role.
Can't help feeling it's a mistake bringing David Tennant back.
