Main Character name change

Oh it was already done and dusted. I was just curious what others would think fitted.
 
Ah, local names and pronounciations. I knew a (Dutch) guy with the name Simon who went to the USA for a holiday. He made the mistake of introducing himself as Simon, but pronouncing it the Dutch way. Which sounds more or less like 'semen'.
