John Brosnan's The Sky Lords

This trilogy of books has been sitting on my book shelves for ages, I last read them about 15 years ago, i'm thinking about re-reading them. I remember really liking them and thought the premise would make a great film or tv series, there doesn't seem to be any mention on this site of these books. Has anyone else read them? If so, what do you think of them
