I work nights, write days, proud human to five cat
I've messaged a prospective agent on Twitter, who recommended that I submit a query to her regarding my book but I'm not a hundred percent sure of how to phrase this query.

After checking her bio page on the site, it just says
I prefer to see only a query letter first, please.
Along with the details of where to send the letter (or email).

I'm presuming there will be some people here who have experience of submitting query letters, so am asking for help in putting my own one together.

All answers gratefully received.

Thanks.

Two resources that are invaluable -

Janet Reid's queryshark.blogspot.com

Particularly for Queryshark I'd suggest starting at the beginning and reading them all.
