Knew this was coming because I stalk Ben Barnes, but didn't realise it was coming so soon. Just seen the trailer:

Looks good! I've not read the book (anybody here have? Any good?) and would probably watch it even if Ben Barnes wasn't in it. How lovely is he?

Not to be confused with the Orson Scott Card book of the same name.

The book's called The Spook's Apprentice. I'm not sure why the film has a different name.

High budget cast. Wonder how it will be. Sometimes the total is equal to less than the sum of its parts.

I never heard of this series before I saw the trailer for it last week when we saw Pacific Rim. TBH, it didn't interest me that much and it seemed a little cliched. Is it a good series worth checking out or should I just skip this one?
