How much time do you spend reading SF classics vs. general SF?

Another bright spot of the seventies was H.R. Van Dongen who seemed to use the decade to graduate from the "pulps" (it just feels right to call sf mags pulps:)) to books.

There was a period of time when I read current Science Fiction but it gradully became depressing. I will occasionally read a short story out of a magazine (Asimov's) but most of my reading is classic. I have lately discovered that I really enjoy old mysteries also so between Rex Stout, Earl Derr Biggers, Ellery Queen and the classic Science Fiction authors that I've not read all of yet, I probably will spend the rest of my life catching up. (And I plan to live to be 206). There's a lot of old books out there.
