2.06 : Halloween

It may be the night that demons stay home, but it's far from a quiet night thanks to Ethan Raine.

Demons stay at home? *laughs* not this time.

*huggles spike*

Too bad he took too long to bite buffy.

hehehe --

i'd be careful ana -- you are wandering the land of 'he who loves Buffy/SMG' -- ;)

just in case --

tho - Spike's about the only 'regular' occuring vamp who hasn't bitten Buffy --- Angel did, the Master did, Dracula --- when does Spike get a turn? :)

not sure how long i can keep it up -- it's a bit tiring after a while ;)

but - we can try ------ :D

you'd smooth talk a lot more if you were a scared girl in a fancy dress like Buffy in this eppy....
<smooth transition back on-topic ;)>

nice transition ---

and ya know - this ep was an interesting idea --- everyone becomes his/her costume --

and i have a question about Buffy's train of thought - what made her think Angel would like her better as the 'gentlewoman' of the 18th century?

i think it was because she saw the book with a picture of a typical 18th C woman with the big dress etc nad thought that Angel would relate to that as it was his original time... but I think he even said at the end that she was wrong to think that...

Another "Ethan Raine" eppy, he was an interesting charachter, perhaps because they never fully explored him...

<sigh> yet again - another interesting character bites the dust b/c of lack of development -- (same thing happened in HL) - too many flat characters -- need more round ones!

he didn't bite any dust... and he did come back a few times, but theres not much scope for him to reappear in hte new season now, with

Giles gone back to ENgland

i didn't mean the character was dead - i meant that he more hit the 'cutting room' floor - ie: never seen/heard from again --

(i know - he shows in season 4 - but after that he's gone)

ok, gotcha :)

I guess either the actor was unavailable or the writes simply forgot about him/ran out of ideas for him....

how do you run out of ideas for evil characters w/ magical capabilities???

come on - the guy could have conjured anything --

however - if it's the 'unavailable' bit - - the writers are forgiven -

I thought about this once before:

Joss doesn't seem to be a fan of an arch-villian. I mean, every season's big bad ends up - dead, dead, dead (with a few very exceptions - three vampires that we know and love.)

It doesn't seem as if he's interested in a Moriarty, Lex Luthor, Joker or The Master - no, not him, the Dr. Who one. Unless Spike is intended to become that recurring thorn in Buffy's side.

Season Five:
You know, if they hadn't been able to get Joel Gray to play Doc, maybe they would have brought back Ethan to replace Doc in the story.

Don't forget the last time we saw Ethan, Riley's Army buddies were hauling him away, so his character has an excuse for being out of touch - and I'll bet he never writes either.

actually - i didn't remember that (ref to ob's spoiler) -

but that would explain some stuff -- thnx!

and yeah - about the 'big bads' - they do kinda end up - gone forever ---

(and i can't believe you didn't mention Murdoc from MacGyver as an arch-nemesis ;))
