Yes I would suggest Call of Cthulhu as well, as that was my first Lovecraft's tale when I began reading his stories. If not CoC, read At the Mountains of Madness or Shadow Out of Time, both are pretty solid in conveying that cosmic horror that underlies most of his stories.

Thanks for the info on the release of second printing. I think I can live with one error :). I just hope when I order it online, they don't ship the first printing as a way of getting rid of them. But will this second printing be for the regular hardcover or the leather-bound edition?
