Typography Question for 1960s-1970s Books

This question will evoke memories for some readers.

Look at the titles of these paperbacks. Does anyone know what was the name for the typeface used? It seems to have been common in the late 1960s and early 1970s and then gone.

I think they are italic bold Bookman font variants, or something fairly closely related:

That's Eldritch Bold, a variant of TechnoGoth or something like it. It's true, they had a look that is gone.
