I met the editor-in-chief Sara-Jayne Slack at Loncon3. She seems a very nice lady, genuinely interested in encouraging new writers... good luck to anyone subbing... I'm sure they'll try to do their best for you where they can.

They seem like an interesting choice, and are also a not-for-profit organisation, which sets them aside from most publishers (authors still get royalties if anyone is put off by that). I was thinking about submitting to them, but I saw they're only looking for manuscripts between 55,000 and 110,000 words. Unfortunately mine rolls in at 140,000 and even if I could edit the hell out of it in a week, I don't think I could do it without the story suffering. Good luck to anyone that does submit though.
