Timeloop worlds fair multiverse statue liberty

Hi, I am trying to find a book where the person is stuck in a time loop in the first part of the book. It was during the worlds fair in NY I am pretty sure. Then I think they traveled through time using the location of the Statue of Liberty hand. Later on they were in multiple universes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hi, I remember reading this book as a child, and ever since have tried to find it, after what seems like years I have tracked it down, if you haven't found it already, its called "The Nick of Time" and sequel is "the bird of time" by George Alec Effinger
