France has new reason to fight global warming

They aren't. The owners of the Champagne vinyards bought up a lot of land in Dover because it has the same kind of soil but a slightly cooler average temperature, which will be needed to grow the right flavor range of grapes if France continues to warm up.
 
I heard a program with interviews with agronomists and scientists from many different countries - there was some sort of international symposium on the future directions of agriculture. Yes, the French scientists there mentioned the changes that have already taken place in France, and that some vintners are planning for the move...watch out Pommies, the Normans could be at it again.

Only problem being that if some are proved correct, Dover would be underwater. ;)
 
It's when Jamaica gets worried because the best malibu will come from these shores instead that it's time to celebrate climate change ;-)
