Jasper Fforde

I suddenly remembered the delightful Thursday Next books. I've read the first few but didn't follow up. Have anyone read the latest First Among Sequels and his two nursery crimes books and what do you think about them?

I was a big Jasper Fforde fan for a while there, but I felt the Thursday Next books fell off. I didn't like the 4th book much at all, and even parts of the third fell a bit flat. The first two were EXCELLENT though. I never read First Among Sequels.

As to the nursery crimes books, the first one was a little hit and miss. He seemed to struggle to make the switch from action to mystery. But I really enjoyed the second one and thought it was very good.

I read First Among Sequels, but not the Nursery Crime books. I liked the first four Thursday Next books, but I'm not sure about the latest. I didn't think it was bad though. I found it pretty interesting. I certainly plan on reading the next one when it comes out next year.
