Human Space Colonies

Is "Terra Nova" the only space colony that earth sent out? Isnt there any colonies on the moon or on Mars by now? (Correct me if i am wrong ) Anyway, it would be nice to get some written references to the extent of human expansion into space than just the launch of Enterprise?

That's why I started my 'Earths-Own Backyard' thread in ST General discussions. Certainly were colonies on the Moon and on Mars, but we never visit them in an episode or film, we only ever go to Earth.

Further out you have ships like Mayweather's parents ship (forgot the name of it) trading. It must be trading among human colonies as well as aliens?

Well, in ST:FC, Riker tells Zephram Cochran that 'in [his] time there were X (million) ppl living on the moon' (sorry, forgot exact quote) -- so, we know they'd put ppl on the moon at least by sometime in TNG --
