Odd film, not a classic IMHO, but worth it to see Sly Stalone in such a...umm...odd film.

I love the computer game Carmageddon, which is losely based on the premise of this film

Completely agree. Death Race 200 is full of pointless nudity, extreme violence, cheesy dialogue and bad special effects, and yet I find it impossible not to love it. I remember when I saw it the first time and didn't know what to expect. When the end credits rolled, I was left with a "what the f*** did just happen?". Since then I've watched it at least five or six times, and it gets better every time.

The remake, on the other hand...

Cult classic, reminds me of what helped put me on the road to fantasy and Si Fi.

brought me to the fabulous world of Games Workshop and ultimately started my passion . . . neigh addiction, for heroic fantasy and to a lesser extent Si Fi!!
