In the 80's was part of a book club and ordered the Elfstones of Shannara hardbound. Was so drawn into the book I actually sent Mr. Books a letter and surprise-surprise, I received a postcard back from him. I still have it!

Amazon is already promoting the 3rd volume from the Fall of Shannara which should be released by June 4, 2019. I received a notification the book is available for pre-order this week. If this is really the end of Shannara legacy, I suppose the brothers will not survive this time.

Currently reading SoS and plan on doing Elfstones next. I hear the writing is much more improved in Elfstones as Sword is, well, not the greatest. Any truth to this?

Enough people have told me to read Brooks that I thought I would give it a chance. On his official site, it has a section for 'new readers' with the recommended places to start. Does everyone concur with that? That is the best order to read them in?
