I just read this interview and found it fun and amusing. Since Fforde's Thursday Next series has been mentioned here before I thought I'd share.

Thanks for zee link. I've read and enjoyed a couple of his books. For some reason I always got the impression he might be an obnoxious, pretentious sort of chap. Maybe because his books are so clever-clever and have this kind of over-the-top chaotic pretentiousness thing going on (which is part of there charm).

But I saw an interview on TV and he was really funny, friendly and down to earth, which was a bit of a relief

Interviewed him (for French radio), he's anything but pretentious. Very nice man.
