Ever read these???

Because it is a lovely sunny day (and the girls are looking very watchable ), I took a trip down to the local market and picked up a few books:

Secret Harmonies - Paul J McAuley
Shadow - K J Parker
Sorcerer's Son - Phyllis Eisenstein
The Dragon Sorcerer - John Gregory Betancourt

Any information about the authors or the books would be greatly appreciated...

Sorry I've only read the previous trilogy by author KJ Parker called The Fencer trilogy, the first by this author. Those books were OK but only that although I know that the current Scavenger trilogy of which you have Book 1 is supposed to be much better.

Would be intrested in your opinion once you've read it to see if it's any good. I've heard of McAuley and Eisenstein but read little to nothing of their stuff, never heard of that other author....

Have a feeling Rune may have read something by Eisenstein from a post I did on it, hopefully someone else has read stuff by these authors.

I've read Shadow - K J Parker I thought it was OK, but this author as a writing style that isn't so easy to get into.
