Richard Chamberlain, star of Shogun, The Three Musketeers and The Swarm has died, age 90. RIP.

For those of a certain age, though, he'll be remembered as the star of this series, with an extremely evocative theme tune:

I missed all those medical shows.
I may have watched some Marcus Welby MD but never saw this famous show.
Shogun was quite the event tv at its time.

I guess the Thorn Birds was also a big show.

He was humorously entertaining in King Solomon's Mines.

RIP Richard. He was in the original Bourne Identity as Bourne with Kate Jackson.

PS- In this scene he's offered a choice of birds for "company" but he turns them down...
