I'm new to sci-fi, huge fan growing up, read many classics. The novel I'm developing will take place on another planet in the future, but will focus almost entirely on "normal life"; that is, apart from the fact that the population is originally from Earth long before, the story will focus on the everyday lives of those living there now. There's very little that will take place that will greatly differ from our lives on Earth now, except that obviously I will have fun w/the flora and fauna there. That's a long introduction to my request for any sci-fi writing podcasts where I can learn about the ins and outs of world building that might be appropriate to my situation. I'd also be interested in good books on world-building as well. (No fantasy elements whatsoever; no magic system, etc.) Thanks for any suggestions!
