Alex Stewart is a British author of fantasy, science fantasy, space opera and horror novels and shorty stories, and an editor.
His first published SFF was the time travel short story, Seasons Out of Time (1982) although he has been mostly active as an editor.
He is best known for his fiction written under the pseudonym Sandy Mitchell, within the Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 universe, including his Ciaphas Cain series.
He is the author of the Warhammer: Death of the Reik series, beginning with Warhammer: Death's Messenger (2005).
