I can hardly belive that it's nearly seven years ago that the SFF Sisterhood here on Chrons first got together to produce an anthology of short stories.
This resulted in DISTAFF and five of the nine tales, together with the cover, were longlisted in the British Science Fiction Association Awards, with one splendid story (Sue Boulton's Ab Initio) winning a coveted place in the 2019 Best of British SF anthology.
We followed up that success with a second anthology, FEMMES FAE-TALES, with another nine wonderful stories, this time fantasy; all with female leads, and the tales and the characters themselves were not only fabulous and feisty, but sensuous and sexy -- just like their authors!! There were also plenty of fae present -- good, not-so-good and positively malevolent!
Contributors included Amazon best-sellers, a successful writer in the Rainbow Awards, a professional copy writer, a cover designer, and a BSFA shortlisted editor. The anthology was not only conceived and written by women/non-binary individuals, but was edited, managed and produced by us and our female friends on SFFChronicles. And we snagged the most incredible Introduction from none other than Teresa Edgerton!
But after a long run, we've decided to call it a day and withdraw Femmes Fae-Tales from Amazon at the end of the month. So...
If you never got around to buying this marvellous work when it came out, get over to Amazon now and get it done!!
