Burrage publishing has fairly recently released a bunch of a m burrage books there may be as many as 13 or 14 of them I'm not very sure. They are thin soft backs, and have the same picture on every cover.

Has anyone read any of these? I was wondering if they were all or mostly all Supernatural type stories. I see that some of the familiar favorites are amongst the collections, like smee, the one who saw , Etc.

I was wondering if I should pick some of them up but they are hard to find used, and they cost about $15 each, which times 12 or 13 or 14 or whatever, comes out to way too much LOL.

By him ive read Waxworks. Quite good .

I read "Smee" years ago. I recall liking it, but don't remember any story details. I read the collection Warning Whispers 20 years ago and don't recall any of it, just a general satisfaction with the collection, though nothing stood out. Burrage, I think, was part of that small army of writers who wrote ghost stories probably influenced by M. R. James (not long ago I read collections by E. W. Swain and Ralph Adams Cram, who were influenced by James). His stories were, I gather, rather well liked. I'm not sure how they hold up now.

His “One Who Saw” has been one of the creepiest stories I’ve read, out of dozens. I don’t go in for ghost stories these days, but for those who do, this one and “Smee” should not be missed.
