Watching.

A tv series fondly remembered by those who, err... remember it. Shy birdwatcher meets extrovert Liverpudlian, and they - somehow - hit it off (most of the time). Probably best rembered for the catchy theme tune.

Rentaghost

Hit kids tv show back in the day. Quite a change part way through the run when it became much more of a pantomime. But I thought it was brilliant, and another very catchy theme tune.

Both series available on Youtube

Make Room For Danny staring Danny Thomas was a pretty good series . This one also had crossover episode in which Lucy and Ricki Ricardo showed up for an episode. .

The Andy Griffith Show I s a show rewatch over and over again . This show was a spinoff of The Dany Thomas Show and it in turn had a spinoff Gomer Pyle USMC with Jim Neighbors .

The Likely Lads and Whatever happened to the Likely Lads - Consistently good writing.
Admittedly the language and attitudes have moved on a bit in the last 50 years.

I remember Woolfy and the Tooting Popular Front! "Power to the People!" "Freedom for Tooting!".

A lot of sitcoms from this era revolve around unions, dinner parties and the class divide, things many younger viewers would have very little concept of
