Fascinating historic book.
I wonder if project Gutenberg will publish a copy. I'm guessing that the author has now been dead for more than 70 years :)
Apparently the Welsh author was also the guy who invented the equals sign

Can you pass on to the "book expert" that 1556 isn't "ancient" as he says!
Chinese astronomers had been observing the night sky and recording their observations since at least 1,200 BC.

I think “ancient” is from the BBC website subeditor, not the book dealer.
Pretty interesting nonetheless, and I don't really think this is a competition with BC Chinese astronomers.
