Another Epsilon rocket engine exploded today at a test facility in Japan.

Fortunately, no one was hurt.

JAXA has faced numerous problems over the past few months. Exploding engines, second stages failing to ignite, and a failed soft lunar landing (unmanned).

Both China and India appear to be ahead in the Asian Space Race.

It's been a long fall from the heavens for Japan, which was once considered a marvel at tech and Future's destination in the genre of sci-fi.

For all the technology in the world, rocket science seems to have always been a case of trial and error.

Maybe they are pushing the limits for the sake of getting ahead.
