I just saw this new short story on the TOR.com website by Alistair Reynolds called Detonation Boulevard.

In a cosmic rally race winding 12,000 kilometers across Io’s treacherous surface in just 60 hours, all while dodging the competition, fatigue, and violent lava geysers—there’s only one way Cat knows how to win: Just drive.

Sounds interesting and your usual fayre.

Great cover, too.

There's another short story popped up linked on his blog End User (a short story) commissioned by 'Auki Labs' and available on their site: Ep. 3: End User, by Alastair Reynolds. Not read it yet so I can't make any further comment!
