Has anybody read To Sleep in a Sea of Stars ?

I'm about 80 pages in and, while the story is interesting, I find the writing kind of clunky -- especially the "romantic" bits. I am wondering if it is worth the candle or should I move on to the next book on the stack?

I have just got this from the library. Did anyone read the stuff in the appendices? Trying to understand the FTL arguments.

Advice to you readers of this.

Avoid at all costs the second Fractalverse book, Fractal Noise, total cack.
